CHILDREN'S MINISTRY Grades 1 to 6

Children of this age participate in BLAST on Sunday mornings. This faith formation program teaches Bible stories and their truths through workshops that use different learning techniques to teach the story. Each five-week rotation features one person or story from the Bible. The workshops take place in "Messiah.com, a computer lab; the Art Ark; the BibleMax Theatre, a multi-media room; the Oasis storytelling room; and the Messiah Playhouse for drama. The workshop could involve science, games, cooking, art, computers, puppets, plays, movies, music, architecture ...

Each year on Rally Day, third-graders receive a Bible from the church and participate in a special evening workshop with their parent(s). After sharing a pizza supper, the kids and their parents learn more about the Bible in general and their new Bible in particular. Then they cut up old blue jeans that are made into covers for their new Bibles.

During the summer, Messiah offers Vacation Bible School outreach.

Each month during the school year, a special event is held. Past events have included ice skating, cosmic bowling, special "letter" days ... They have even staged some really fun musicals.
