Lent 2019

Lent, 2019

Sundays in Lent        We are finishing up our Lenten series “Busy -Reconnecting with an Unhurried God”

Join us as we continue to slow down, clear some room and reconnect with our God who is never hurried, never frantic, but always loving. We are doing this with an adapted liturgy and messages focused on the assigned Psalms.

Sunday April 7th        Psalm 126 “A Time For Every Matter”
Sunday April 14th Palm Sunday, Psalm 31  “Give It A Rest”

Wednesdays in Lent  “The People vs. Judas Iscariot  … the sentencing hearings”

Come on Wednesday evenings (6:30 pm) to the Lenten District Court of Messiah Lutheran Church as we finish our court room proceedings.  Members of Messiah have created a courtroom setting where we are having some fun, but also revisiting the passion story, hearing from key witnesses, reflecting on the gift of forgiveness and focusing on Jesus’ suffering and death for our sake. Worshipers serve as the jury and will submit their sentencing ballots on the last Wednesday! And of course, join us each week for soup and sandwiches before court starting at 5:15pm

Wednesday April 3rd  “In Bondage”
Wednesday April 10th “Who Will Save Us?”
