The season of Lent will be filled with opportunities to grow in faith and reflect upon God’s love expressed in Jesus. Plan to join us! Invite a friend!
Sundays in Lent “Busy -Reconnecting with an Unhurried God”
Lent is often associated with giving up things. This year, how about if Lent becomes a time to “make room.” In our intense, frantic paced world, you will be invited on Ash Wednesday (6:30 pm) and Sunday mornings (8:30 am & 11:00 am) to slow down, clear some room and reconnect with our God who is never hurried, never frantic, but always loving. We will do this with an adapted liturgy and messages focused on the assigned Psalms.
Wednesdays in Lent “The People vs. Judas Iscariot … the sentencing hearings”
Come on Wednesday evenings (6:30 pm) to the Lenten District Court of Messiah Lutheran Church! Members of Messiah will create a courtroom setting where we will have some fun, but also revisit the passion story, hear from key witnesses, reflect on the gift of forgiveness and focus on Jesus’ suffering and death for our sake. Worshipers will serve as the jury and submit their sentencing ballots on the last Wednesday! And of course, join us each week for soup and sandwiches before court starting at 5:15pm
