Welcome to Messiah's Children and Families Ministry!

We value families at Messiah! There are many opportunities available for children and the whole family, including Sunday School, Milestone Ministry, and fellowship events!

 

 

 

Faith Formation Resources 

Children in Worship 

Children are always welcome in worship! At Messiah, we understand that children don't always sit still! To engage your child in worship, please check out our Prayground in the front of the Sanctuary. Reccommend for ages 6 and under, young children can play with quiet toys that are available each week during worship. For older kids, check out our worship bags located in the lobby, as well as our youth bulletins. 

Children are also invited to help lead worship by acolyting, ushering, serving Holy Communion or reading Scripture. To sign up to volunteer in worship, contact Erin Judy. 

Sunday School | September-May

Education hour starts at 9:45am. Little Disciples (3yrs.-K) are dropped off downstairs in their room by parents. Older kids (1st-6th grade) are located in the Education Wing. Our curriculum, Holy Moly, engages children through videos, lessons and crafts.

Milestone Ministry 

Children are entitled to many milestones in their faith life including Baptism, Holy Communion, Receiving of the Bible, and others before moving on to their Affirmation in Baptism through Confirmation. By registering for Sunday school, your child will be invited to participate in these Milestones when they are of age!

Fellowship Events 

Each month there is a new fellowship event for children and families. Join us for things like Trunk or Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, Advent Fair, and outings like trampoline parks and Vala's Pumpkin Patch.
